Recently i watched 'Repo! the genetic opera' a film directed by Darren Lynn Bousman. The film is based on a play written and composed by Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich. Terrance also plays the role 'Graverobber' in the film, my favourite character. the Graverobber is my favourite character for a number of reasons, first and foremost is the mental state of the character. He always seems happy even though he is surrounded by such a dismal world. Then theres his facial expressions, they are just plain entertaining. last is his songs. i have to admit that his song are probably the best, also, Terrance seems to have one of the better voices in the film. The story is about a world far in the future where there is a massive organ failure. Because of this the company 'GeneCo' loan the less wealthy organs. Unfortunately many of those who are loaned organs cannot pay the compant bach and have their organs repossessed by the repoman.

Something that catches you off guard in this film is the cast. one moment your peacefully sipping your tp tea with 3 teaspoons of sugar in it, quietly waiting for the story to unravel itself when suddenly you realise that the main emo/Avril Lavigne girl who some also refer to as Shilo also plays the girl from spy kids! now, for quite a while you question whether this assumption is true. I can assure you, the actress Alexa Vega plays both characters. The next shock will come from the character Nathan, both widower and father of Shilo. The great man who plays such a character my friends is the one and only Anthony Stewart Head, also referred to as 'the greatest man to grace the Buffy sets'. Anthony also plays a part in the television series 'Buffy'. The actor is English but in the film he puts on an American accent, this saddens me since he has such a nice accent. The last of theis tormenting shock rollercoaster is the character Amber Sweet, who i will rename 'faceless'. Now, boys and girls, this was the most shocking and terrifying of all of the actors/actresses. Faceless is played by none other than the infamous Paris Hilton! now.. she doesn't give that bad a performance but it just feels a bit fishy that out of all the people in the world, Paris is chosen as the spoilt rich girl... wow.. fits her quite well don't you think?

this looks like its going to take a while.. ah poo. well, i shall carry on this drivel even if you have given up and decided that a game of tic tac toe will be much more useful in life than a 14 hour read about a film that only take 2 hours to watch.

Anhow, i have to applaud this film, and not in the sarcastic slow mannered way but in the enthusiastic palm scorching way. most of the actors performed very well, i feel Terrance who played 'Graverobber' did the best though. The film thoroughly entertained me and i finished the film with a smiling face. my personal favourite song is Zydrate Anatomy. youtube it and see why. I strongly reccomend that you watch this film, especially if you have a rather gothis or rock personality. If you don't i'll come and rip out your eyes.
